We Can't Resist!

Ok, so most of the time this blog is going to be more about us, and less about our fabulous, wonderful, amazing, diverse and breathtaking collection of jewelry :), but today, we simply cannot resist imploring you to CHECK OUT THE NEWEST ADDITIONS to our site, Giving Tree Jewelry!
There are no less than 3 BRAND new and amazing artists.

First, Ted Rossi, out of NYC. It is impossible to open a fashion publication and not see his bangles. They are EVERYWHERE and with great reason. They are super stylish, wonderfully priced, comfortable, and for the WONDER-woman in all of us ;)Shop Ted's Bracelets!

Next is LOVE ROCKS NY, by Limor Senkor, who is not only beautiful herself, but the creator of the BEST LOOKING INITIAL LOCKETS we have ever seen! For a long time, customers have been requesting lockets, and when LOVE ROCKS NY contacted us, we knew the search was over.

Fall in Love with Love Rocks NY!

Finally, there is JESSICA KAGAN CUSHMAN and her resin bangles.

Have you ever had something haunt you, in that incredibly positive but "I just can't afford it" way? This happened to me about 4 years ago in a ridiculously expensive store in Boston called "Louis of Boston". At that point, Jessica was only making these bangles in ivory, and they were upwards of $400!! Still, I couldn't get them out of my mind. So imagine my absolute DELIGHT when I found her at the shows in NYC.. now creating her line in much more affordable, but equally 'cool' resin!
My 'eyes' in Los Angeles, Jennifer Chan, an editor at INStyle and dear friend, sent this note:
"Rachel, I did a bit of shopping this week in L.A and those bangles you love are in ALL the best boutiques! You found the next big thing... check out this pic of Fergie wearing them!"
WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! CHECK THEM OUT. I AM IN LOVE WITH A BRACELET... AND ITS TRUE LOVE! Check out Jessica's Bangles!

Year 34...Day One!

Here I am on my way out to a fabulous birthday dinner with my great girlfriends Kayce and Arwen! I had Laura snap a picture to prove I am not ALWAYS in boxer shorts, but with a puppy that loves water (and hence..mud) clean clothes don't last long around here!
Anyway, dinner was truly memorable. We went to B&G oyster bar in Boston Ma, (see my list of favorite things and you'll know why.. with a dirty chopin martini.. yum!) and had the great honor of being joined by the chef and owner Barbara Lynch! The woman is a force of nature, and one of the most inspired chefs I've ever met! She will have 9 restaurants in Boston soon, and I can't sing her praises loudly enough!
Speaking of singing.. I was recently voted, unanimously, the WORST singer here at GTJ... we all did a verse of 'aint no mountain high enough' and I took home top honors!
On a serious note, Kristen limited us to 5 favorite things, but I could have had a list of 10,000! I feel so genuinely blessed and grateful every day. I have the most amazing women around me, the most supportive, beautiful family, a puppy, and truly remarkable friends that inspire me to be all that I can be..
I can't wait to tell you the new project I am working on..stay tuned! Rachel

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Balloons, Blueberry Pancakes, Lilies, and Cake... some of Rachel's favorite things! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!

It's a fabulous day today at Giving Tree... the sun is out and we're all in celebration mode for Rachel's birthday! I love silly family traditions and every year on this day, Judith wears the dress she gave birth to Rachel in! Believe it or not, she still looks great in it!

Over the past year, I've been designated the official baker here at GTJ and I've come to love my new position (maybe it's my calling!) For Rachel, I choose a Giving Tree cake... here's to love, success, and happiness in Rachel's new year!
