Here is Ms. Montana.. I mean, Cyrus.. wearing the super hip and yet still VERY classy ALEX AND ANI BANGLES, that she purchased from, yup, you guessed it.. US!
We might not be Neimans, Fred Segal, or Kitson.. but it's nice to know we have the stuff the folks that can have any 'stuff' they want.. want! :)
We love Ms. Montana-Cyrus.. but not any bit more than we love all of you..
To us, you are all world famous super stars!

STORY OF THE WEEK!

Check this out.. by our wonderful beautiful customer Robin Roberts from NYC! Made my whole month, and it's only te fourth!

Just had to share with you an exchange I had today...

I work above Grand Central Station and went down to a nice wine shop there to buy a bottle to help us "wine down" after a messy Tuesday. The nice woman who helped me was wearing a lovely necklace and when I looked closer (gasp!) saw that it was a bee and a little tag with an engraving! So, of course, I ask her if she got it from Giving Tree and she looked amazed. Of course she did. Apparently she used to live in Cape Cod but now is buying from the webite. We had a good laugh, talked about the store (which she emphasized I must see soon) and shared why we each had our necklaces and why she chose hers and I chose mine. How nice - crazy, busy train station ina city of 8 million and your pieces made an otherwise meaningless transaction a terrific way to end a long day. Thanks!!

Why we all need to keep shopping..

just a quick one.. from your fearless (almost!) friend Rachel.
So it's a very very snowy eve here on Cape Cod.. the only cars on the road have plows attached. What is a girl to do? SHOP! Why? Because the economy is in trouble.. and it is up to us to save it! we have to keep shopping! We have to keep the small sweet companies, and the beautiful artists behind them going! That is what I am doing right now! Here is my suggestion..gentle prodding if you will. Have a warm beverage (I am addicted to green tea lattes myself) sign on, and shop.. smartly, conscientously, and with your heart. If I didn't own it, I would go to Givingtreejewelry.com all the time for the small, meaningful tokens for myself, and gifts for others. And for clothes? Well, I'm a huge fan of www.starsandinfinitedarkness.com. Gorgeous things, amazing prices, and beautiful mantras from the artists on why they make what they make.
That's it. As women, as women with souls and spirits, we can take care of this crisis, one small purchase at a time.
Silly, perhaps, but it is bringing some sunshine to my moment. Everything is going to be ok. We will do our part. We will stick together and support each other.
Peace and love. R.S
