As a fashion and beauty web editor, I shop online for a living (literally), so it's fair to say I know a good site when I see one. My right hand may as well be permanently attached to my mouse, and my extensive list of favorite bookmarked web sites (organized in categories like shoes, jewelry, dresses, etc. for the most efficient method in cyber style-searching) is so long, it has caused gasps from onlookers.
A friend of mine tipped me off about GivingTreeJewelry.com and I was immediately hooked. Boasting beautiful, meaningful jewelry from hand-picked designers, the site stands out as a special, well-edited shopping destination amidst other sites that pack in as many lines as possible—leaving one overwhelmed and disillusioned. So impressed with the site's design, purpose and story, I plugged GTJ on InStyle.com and corresponded with Rachel via e-mail during that time.
Not too long after, I met up with Rachel and our mutual friend for dinner at the exquisite Chateau Marmont in LA. It was a serene summer night outside in the courtyard of the historical hotel, but we were energized and buzzing with sheer delight for hours on end. We celebrated each other—women with passion and purpose—who aimed to make a difference in the world in our own unique creative ways, and toasted to supporting one another in our individual endeavors. In one night, it was apparent how special Rachel and the girls of Giving Tree truly were, and to this day, I'm their biggest fan.

Shrimp, Coronas, and Guacamole!
To welcome our new employee Matt and celebrate the ending of a GREAT season, Rachel and Judith hosted a fabulous picnic lunch of shrimp fajitas, guacamole, pico de gallo, and of course, Coronas! Rachel graciously cooked an amazing lunch and it was the perfect opportunity to learn more about the newest member of the Giving Tree family AND wind down from our super busy summer! Deanne and I, who are HUGE fans of sun and heat, are trying to accept the change of seasons. The leaves are starting to change already... Here's to Matt's favorite season, AUTUMN!

It's a boy!
Hello Friends! I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Matt and I am the newest addition to the Giving Tree Family. A guy amidst these great girls! I was born in the beautiful Delaware Valley of Pennsylvania, in the town of Milford- nestled in the Pocono Mountains. For 8 years while I was there I worked with a brilliant jewler named Judith Neugebauer who has been my inspiration and mentor over the years. I moved to Cape Cod in the begining of the summer and just recently began working at Giving Tree. I'm looking forward to settling in and beginning some very exciting new projects, one of which is putting together a mens line of jewelry! I hope to be able to help you with any of your questions, and ladies, if you looking for a gift for that special man in your life and your interested in a mans opinion i would be more than happy to help. As always if you have any ideas we're always open to suggestions. You can reach me at matt@givingtreejewelry.com. Hope to hear from you!

Happy Labor Day!
One of the best parts about having an actual gallery to go along with the website is getting to meet our customers in person! Some days, it feels more like a party than 'work', especially over a long holiday weekend! Here's a picture of 3 of our favorite gals.. Teri (in the middle) brought her friends together for a weekend of fun on Cape Cod.. and I just had a feeling they would flip for our new Jessica Kagan Cushman bangles.
They look fabulous on them, and they decided that they would not only be super stylish, but also serve to remind them of their friendship and what a blast they had over Labor Day Weekend. Thank you Teri, for bringing in such inspiring women, and being one yourself!
