A blog from the Fantastic Laura!

Hello all fabulous fans of Giving Tree!! Welcome to the world of Laura....Queen of the GTJ special request and admitted abuser of the smiley face and exclamation point in her emails:)!!! I am about to write my first blog...oh my!!

What to blog about? Giving Tree, and beautiful jewelry of course!!

In my time here, I have enjoyed the opportunity to learn from, to meet, to know both you, our customers and our artists. This is a wonderful thing!! Having the ability and knowledge to meet your special requests makes me very happy:)
I always refer to my job as 'my work here'. Being the manager at Giving Tree is not a job, but my passion. I arrive everyday with requests waiting from you for very specific pieces and the relationships we have with our artists allows me fulfill a wish from a list, and also makes me look really good;)

I have come to learn that the thing making this all happen, is one reason, well two, Rachel & Judith!!
The commitment, respect and enthusiasm they show toward our artists makes this all possible. The relationship that they have spent many years nurturing allows us direct contact with the artist and their staff. Questions and concerns are welcome, and always with care are they answered.
And in turn they have shown the same kindness to me when they brought me into GTJ...and for that I am ever grateful:) It is their passion I pass along to you.

In addition to the fabulous support I have from R&J, are the amazing artists we have the privilege to represent. They each tell a story and it is my pleasure to share those with you. Some artists offer inspiration, others fashion statements and others, well, just plain fun!! I love them all!!

My proudest accomplishment Rachel asks... Knowing there is a Pablo Valencia Fellow Traveler on the neck of a soldier in Afghanistan, knowing there is a Toby& Max 'You are very special to me' bracelet on the wrist of a grandmother, knowing that the perfect shade of turquoise Lucite from Alexis has arrived in time for the spring wedding, knowing that Jeanine Payer has engraved the words "strong women may we know them may we raise them may we be them" that celebrates the arrival of a first child, knowing that a Me & Ro Fearlessness slate has inspired a change in perspective and knowing that somehow I have played a small part in all of this keeps me here and oh! so happy:)
Thank you all for the continued inspiration...
With great appreciation (and also happiness that this 'first blog' is done!) Laura Dallaire, Sales Manager, www.givingtreejewelry.com

NOTE FROM RACHEL: Without any sort of 'permission' whatsoever, from Ms. Laura..I am including some pictures, of her sunshine perfect face, of her Donald, who has been at Giving Tree MANY a weekend moving my giant piles of tree limbs, etc, and their greatest, most breathtaking creation..Ellen Dallaire. This girl is, as Judith has said "the most perfect child"! Sorry Laura, had to be done :)
